What makes the Wave Cam so special?
over 7 years ago – Sun, Jan 29, 2017 at 01:15:14 PM

Believe it or not, the wave cam in our patent-pending salad maker was inspired by skateboard/longboard technology. Wave cams are located in a specific skateboard truck to give the rider more of a surf-like experience.

In the picture below, you will see our first wooden prototype. It worked fine for cutting but the salad was sticking to the walls when we rotated the top. We knew there was be a better way.

Being familiar with the various types of skateboard trucks, that’s when the light bulb went on! Next we had the improved model drawn up in CAD and sent it off to our 3D prototypers. After a couple tweaks, we had it!

Simply cut through the slits in one direction, and then rotate the wave cam top for a perfect, no mess cross cut. In just seconds, your ingredients are all perfectly chopped and your garden fresh salad is ready to eat!
